Summer is going.. great?

Hey Bloggers!
It's been awhile.. but good thing I'm in my 'blogging' mode.

Summer vacation has been..well.. great I guess. I got to go to the movies with ladyfriend watching Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen. Overall, I thought the movie was pretty good. A basic 3.5/5 (leave your thoughts on the movie in the comments section). What sucks was that, an amazing icon, Michael Jackson passed away. I was really sad, well, like obviously, everyone was sad. I learned my awesome dance moves from him, and I've always tried to sing like him. Oh well. May he rest in peace.

A week later.. I got surgery. Oh yes, on July 7th, that's when Rogue X was out for the count. I really don't want to explain in-depth because.. it was really.. really gory. (shivers), It was nasty. I'm recovering until the 17th where I visit my doctor to check if I'm ready to go again.

Hope things go well for the future. If you'd like.. you can put how your summer is going.. down at the comments section (:

Graduation; A Night To Remember <3

(sigh) Hey guys. Rogue X is here. I'm just.. really emotional. I had my graduation yesterday. And boy, it was live. It's just at the end, I had to say goodbye to all my friends, and my wonderful (sorry Pinoy-Mofo), ladyfriend. I had a great night though. It first went out with the ceremony. As soon as my french teacher, the one who gladly represented my class, said my name.. Pinoy-Mofo comes out of no where screaming my name, along with my friends cheering. After, the graduation dance was here.I took pictures with all my friends, actually danced which I don't get used to, and loads of fun. Oh, of course there was slow songs to dance to. And guess who I danced with.. (*wink). Sadly, at the end, the waterworks began and everyone was so sad. To say goodbye to ladyfriend.. I gave her one last kiss on the lips.. and she was gone.

(sigh) I hope to see my friends in the future. And to wish them the best of luck. Rogue X signing off.

Graduation.. around the corner.. oh my.

My oh my.. I never blogged in a while. WELL, guess what? Rogue X is back to entertain you with the awesome blog!

What has been pulling me back from blogging, you may ask? SCHOOL WORK. Projects.. ladyfriend.. y'know, the usual crap I've been saying over my previous blogs about school. There's alot I gotta say. Well.. maybe just the most important one for this blog. I have only little time to spend with ladyfriend. (sigh) Time is running out. I got her a present though! Her favorite type of rose! Pretty awesome, eh? Graduation.. oh my.. this when I'll miss my friends.. ALOT. AND It's right around the corner in.. (counts) 7 days I suppose?

(sigh) Maybe blogging is a hard way to describe on how much you'll miss someone. Someone who has came into your life, and made the best out of it. Graduation is where I'll miss this special someone and never see her again. But I think it's alright. They say high school is just the beginning.. so it should work out well.

I really hope my friends do well in the future. And I hope to see them soon.

Everyone is going their separate ways. To different high schools. To choose different friends. But I guess they'll never forget those sweet memories.

I personally think that Graduation is always making you have two feelings.
i) Happiness is a state of mind or feeling such as contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy. This is when most students are happy that school is finally over.
ii) Sadness is an emotion characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, and helplessness. This is where your emotional karma kicks in. Most students will miss those memories that they had for the whole year, their face goes sad and the waterworks begin to happen.

This is my graduation game plan:
- Graduation is on the 25th of June.
- There will be two divisions for two ceremonies.
- The ceremonies take place from: 3:30-5:00 PM & 5:00-7:00 PM
- 7:30 to 10:00 is the dance party.

Things better not mess up.
I probably go 'high' at the dance party. But oh well, no one is gonna stop me!

That's all bloggers. I have a new poll so be sure to answer on that. Next time, I talk about my experience on Graduation & the long awaited "GAME TIME" with double the info! Rogue X signing off.

P.S. I know its two days before, but I just want to shoutout and say Happy Two Months to my ladyfriend. I love her very much <3.
P.S. x2 - Sorry. No pictures this time!

Peace!

Killin' Zombies, Gettin' New Tracks & Travellin' to Wonderland!

Yo bloggers, it's Rogue X at ya again.

So, I'm guessing by the title, you're wondering what I'm trying to say. I've recentley rented Resident Evil 5. This has to be one of my favourite zombie games of all time. The gameplay is really similar to Resident 4 and the graphics are really awesome. (sigh) I'm going PS3 Fanboy again.. lemme give a short summary, some videos, and a mini review.

SUMMARY:
Players will lead on a epic journey with Chris Redfield & Sheva Alomar, working for the BSSA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance), on a journey to stop a threat to Africa, and to find out what happened to Chris's former partner, Jill Valentine. As they fight through "Majini" meaning evil spirit, a.k.a. an evil virus spreading through people, the team finds out the many secrets soon to be unfolded.

(I really don't know what's with the url embed thingy. Computer is acting weird =S)

REVIEW:
Resident Evil 5 is one of the best of the survival horror game franchise. Although it may seem more of an action game, you'll still have alot of fun with it. It's really not what any RE fan would expect it to be. There's not alot of scary horror moments like the previous games. For example: You won't be suprised when a zombie will pop out of no where. The controls feel great! They mostly help when you're in tight situations, especially with bosses. In the graphics department, it rocks. For a next-generation game, it does very well. The environments that you go through really show it and you can see every detail on the character models. For the story, it's really awesome to see how its layed out well. You go through each chapters (6 of them) and uncover how Chris Redfield's adventure becomes a nightmare. I would rate this a solid 4.5/5.

The new tracks that I've been hearing are.. how may I explain this.. awesome? YEAH, I guess they are. Check these out:

BOOM BOOM POW - Black Eyed Peas have returned with their new techno-like track. This is not the music that they always do. The beat is very catchy and is very good to use for remixes. Catch their new album on June 6.

BE ON YOU (FT. NE-YO) - Although it may not be his new single, Flo Rida is still using his skills to make an awesome track. Be On You recreates the elements of Coldplay's Viva La Vida. Weird.. first he copyed "I'm Blue" for his new song, Sugar... then "Right Round" had elements from "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) by Dead Or Alive. Oh well, all I'm saying is that you gotta listen to this song.

WE MADE YOU - Slim Shady is back! Eminem has always got me into listening to more of his songs and always wanting more. I always loved his interest of fooling around with most of his songs. In this one, he has an amazing beat made by the fantastic Dr. Dre and he "celebrity bashes" which is sick! Check out his album, Relapse, which is already out.

HOW DO YOU SLEEP (FT. LUDACRIS) - Hehehe, I'm glad he turned to R&B insted of going all in the 'Disney Pop' department. With meaningful lyrics, a wicked beat, and a remix with hip-hop artist, Ludacris, How Do You Sleep is #1 on my favourite list. We'll see in the future if the rumours are true if that his new single, Body Language, is his next one. Departure: Recharged is avaliable right now!

That's all for songs, now I'm gonna go back to the 'Life' catergory. Yesterday, I went to Canada's Wonderland. It was an amazing day, since I was with my brother. Canada's Wonderland is a place down in Toronto, Canada where most families have fun with the awesome attractions. My favourite attraction would probably be: The Behemoth. This roller coaster made me scared in the beginning but in the end, it made me want more! For those who don't know what in the world I'm talking about..

Behemoth is one of the new attractions that came out on May 4, 2008. And how high is this roller coaster that made me scared as hell, you ask? About 230-feet up HIGH. So once you get on it, you start going up on your seat at moderate speed. You then feel a funny feeling in your stomach and start regreting that you want to go on this damn ride in the first place. This is where the climax of the ride begins. You go down from this 230-feet hill and start screaming like a girl! You turn right, and turn 180 degrees left. Next, the coaster travels over three airtime hills and over a steep slope into the mid-course brake run. Then, the train does a 540-degree helix towards the right, passes through the camera section, then up a 270-degree helix to the left. Following this is a drop and a final airtime hill. The ride then rises one more time and comes to a stop on a downward brake run into the block brakes. The ride then slowly advances and turns back toward the station, where another block brake stops the train, and holds it there until the station says that another train can go.

I have went to this ride 2 times already and I'm still scared of it. My third time will be very soon. Because of this choir thing, which makes me have access to go to Wonderland. OH! Which reminds me.. yeah I AM a choir boy. w00t! I only got into choir because of my friends, BEGGING me to go to Wonderland with them. Then, I had to go through an audition along with my friends.. which was embrassing. And I made it through. I've skipped class to go to festivals, school concerts & trips. Now, Wonderland is my reward for all the embrassing moments I have done in choir. (whispers: My ladyfriend should know most of them ;D)

Man, I'm tired now. I've been working on this for quite awhile. I should do 'Game Time' very soon.. probably tomorrow. Alright, Rogue X signing off.

BEHEMOTH ^^ =O

P.S. Shoutout for my ladyfriend. Happy One Month! iloveyou =) <3

So Many Things.. So Little Time.

Yo bloggers, how's it going? It's Rogue X back with another blog once again!
How's everyone's week going? Hope it's going good. Mine has been so tiring. Studying for major tests, Killzone on PS3, schedules, working on projects, hanging out with ladyfriend with most of time (which is actually pretty awesome).. these things are making my head OVERLOAD.

(sigh) I should probably continue about my PS3 info from my first blog post. I'm at 61% of trophies on Killzone 2, working hard to get 100%. I'm soon going to get InFamous. I can't wait. It recentley got a review from IGN, with a score of 9.2/10 . Oh.. my.. gosh! I forgot to tell about Uncharted 2: Among Thieves! It's the sequel of one of my favourite PS3 games. Here's a preview of what the game looks like with some screenshots.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves picks up a couple of years after the story in Uncharted ends. Similar to the previous story, Drake’s new adventure revolves around an unsolved historical mystery – this time surrounding Marco Polo and his doomed voyage home from China in 1292. After spending almost 20 years in the court of the emperor Kublai Khan, Marco Polo departed with 14 ships and over 600 passengers and crew – but when he arrived at his destination a year and a half later, only one ship remained, and only 18 of the passengers had survived. Although Marco Polo described almost every other aspect of his journeys in minute detail, he never revealed what happened to the ships that were lost.
Drake, attracted by the potential treasure to be found and inspired by the intrigue around this historical mystery, embarks on a quest to find Marco Polo’s lost fleet. But he soon discovers that Marco Polo was hiding a much greater secret – he had gone on a secret expedition on behalf of the emperor to find the mythical kingdom of Shambhala, otherwise known as Shangri-La, and to recover the legendary Cintamani Stone, the wish-fulfilling jewel of Buddhist mythology. The stone is described by Marco Polo as a massive raw sapphire which, if it truly exists, would be worth billions of dollars today. These discoveries set Drake on a new course, following Marco Polo’s 700-year-old trail through a diverse range of exotic environments to find out if the lost city of Shambhala, rumoured to lie deep in the Himalayas, really exists. Following him on his quest will be Chloe Frazer, a new character voiced by Claudia Black of Stargate SG-1 and Farscape.

If both Uncharted games would be TV Show Series.. now that would be AWESOME. Speaking of TV Shows.. tonight is the season finale of one of my favourite TV Shows.. Supernatural. It's about two brothers, Sam & Dean Winchester. They explore all over the country in their Chevy Impala and investigate paranormal events. The origins of this story all begins when both brothers are on the search for their father and the killer of their mother that died 22 years ago. After, the story expands into a bigger storyline and that's where Season 4 is at. I can't wait to see it. Me & brother were discussing on how the season will end.. we both made a decision that it shall be a cliff-hanger.
That's the 67' Chevy Impala they ride :)

I guess that's all for today, fellow bloggers. Until next time, keep it real, Rogue X signing off.

P.S. Ladyfriend kicked my ass in racing at school. I, "intend" to beat her... but that seems impossible. Oh well, that's why I love her. This was obviously for her.. so HERE IT IS! Happy now? Haha, love you!

Game Time

HELLO BLOGGERS! It is I, Rogue X, again. I don't know why I'm in 'blogging mode' as Pinoy-Mofo says it. I guess it's because blogging is now one of my top things to do. I guess from the title, you must know what I'm going to talk about today.. right? Haha, that's right ladies & gentlemen, it's game time. I think every monday I should do this, talk about the latest news on games.. interesting. Let's get started.

BREAKING NEWS

Modern Warfare 2 teaser video shows off first game footage, promises 'world premiere' May 24

Wow, Modern Warfare 2.. catchy name for another Call of Duty game? I don't think so. TNT has been teasing the 'world premiere' of MW2 at the Eastern Conference. Either you like basketball or video games, or maybe both.. watch!

^^ Video Teaser.

PS3 Release Update

Looks like we got a few games coming out very soon.
Check it:

May 19, 2009 Bionic Commando
May 19, 2009 Terminator Salvation
May 19, 2009 UFC 2009 Undisputed
May 26, 2009 Cross Edge
May 26, 2009 Damnation
May 26, 2009 Infamous

So a few good games in the month of May. Bionic, Terminator and UFC look very interesting and a possibly turn from a rent to a buy.

Here's some screenshots to suit your interest.

Bionic Commando:

UFC 2009 Undisputed:

Terminator Salvation:

As for Cross Edge, Damnation & Infamous, I'll post some videos but I just want to put my thoughts on them first.

Cross Edge- A Japanese RPG.. (drools). I love RPGs and this game looks pretty decent. The animation looks impressive, also the mechanics its using. Should be a good rent.

Damnation - A futuristic cowboy scenario in the twentieth century. Impressive. Graphics are nice, and the gameplay is pretty good.

Infamous- Oh my gosh! I've been waiting for this!

InFamous is an upcoming sandbox-style video game for the PlayStation 3 video game console. It is currently in development by Sucker Punch Productions, the creators of Rocket: Robot on Wheels, and the Sly Cooper video game franchise. It will be the company's first original IP since Sly Cooper. The game was announced at Sony's E3 2007 Press Conference on July 11, 2007. The game is expected to be released on May 26, 2009 in North America, May 29, 2009 in Europe, and June 11, 2009 in Australia.

The story follows Cole, delivering a package to Empire City which causes an explosion with only him and the package as the only survivor. The explosion granted Cole several electricity-based powers, but he falls into unconsciousness, waking up two weeks later to find that Empire City has fallen into chaos; without police, gangs have taken over areas of the city, and a plague has infected many of the residents causing the city to be quarantined by the government. It is revealed by "The Voice of Survival", or Dallas, a surviving disk jockey that broadcasts across the city, that Cole was the cause for the explosion, which sets the population of Empire City against him. Cole must come to terms with his powers, and opt to help those in need or simply survive on his own, facing against large threats that have manifested in the city due to the explosion

Awesome. Just awesome.

Reviews

This is probably the most noticeable review that has been going through the web.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Ungaged Edition
Wolverine has (once again like its movie) received mixed reviews. From over 44 reviews, it has received an average of 72 %.
PGNx Media
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a superb action game especially for fans of the character. This is the Wolverine game that fans have been waiting for. It’s not incredibly varied and a lesser game would have suffered because of this but Wolverine is just incredibly fun. 90/100

Eurogamer
X-Men Origins: Wolverine may be unapologetically violent, but it's also unapologetically repetitive, and it's the one apology that needs to be made. 50/100

Playstation Universe
Push the platforming and puzzle solving to the side and you're in for an exciting and brutal ride. 75/100

Many were saying that Wolverine was pure fun. Also, most we're saying it was one of the bloodiest games ever. Problems were that, the game had many bugs, the boss fights were easy, and the game was short (like most movie games). By playing the demo, I've understand what most reviewers were saying. But at the end, I wanted more because it was really fun. The controls, the blood.. everything!

Well, that's all. Remember every Monday to check on 'Game Time'. From order, it goes to:
Breaking News - I choose the best news of PS3 that happened over last week.
PS3 Release Update - Kinda like previews. Check this from time to time to see what games are coming up.
Reviews - Any reviews that have happened recently. Positive or negative reviews, I still put it up.

Till next time bloggers, Rogue X signing off.

Positive Reviews

Hey there readers!
It's Rogue X back in action. It's already my second blog in one day. Impressive!
As soon as I posted my first blog, I first sended it to my ladyfriend. She loved it! She said to continue in order to stalk me. (laughs) Ahh, she cracks me up sometimes. I then posted a link on Facebook. At least 5 people told they liked it. My homie, Mothafoe, found it impressive. So far, I'm getting positive reviews. I guess I have a thing for blogging.

Anyways to leave it at that, I just want to post two of my favourite songs from different genres.

How Do You Sleep (Ft. Ludacris)
&
Back In Black

These songs just make me feel good whenever I want to listen to any random song while I'm doing homework. So these should do, and justice is served. Oh well, that's all readers. Till next time, Rogue X signing off.

Hello To The World

Hey there everyone. Wow, I finally started blogging. I think the first time I blogged was when the time I thought Windows Live Space was beast and Gamespot was the only place to talk about video games. I guess not.

I was inspired by my brother, Pinoy-Mofo. We both live together in the same roof in a condo. Yeah, like any brother, he can be a pain in the ass, but in the end, we always get along. All his blogs are really fantastic. He's always talking about life, video games, and all these other random stuff. Time to introduce myself.

My name is Rogue X. The name was given from my brother when we first made an online account for our PS3. I'm currently a student and love going to school. I'm getting pretty good grades, always chilling with friends and fooling around in class. My hobbies are: playing video games, drawing, sports, and a whole bunch of stuff that seem useless. I am really a hardcore player on PS3. I mostly play everyday. I'm working hard on Killzone 2, BioShock, and GTA IV. On Killzone, I have 61% of trophies, oh which reminds me... I know most of you will be thinking "What a PS3 Fanboy.. what in the world is a trophy?!" Well, here's a proper definition:

TROPHY [Trophies] - "Trophies" are an achievement system that introduced in the PlayStation 3 system software 2.40 update in July 2008. The four different types of trophies; bronze, silver, gold and platinum are awarded to players for making specific accomplishments (eg. Completing a level or defeating a certain number of enemies) or reaching certain milestones in games (eg. reaching a "pro" rank online). A gold, silver or bronze trophy is normally awarded based on the difficulty of the accomplishment with each trophy contributing to a 'level' system linked to a player's PlayStation Network profile, with gold trophies contributing more experience level advancement than silver, and silver contributing more experience than bronze. A platinum trophy is awarded to the player once they unlock all other trophies in a game. However, smaller games such as certain PlayStation Network titles, lack a platinum trophy. Trophies are displayed on a player's PlayStation Network profile screen, which also shows their level. On November 20, 2008, Sony announced that trophy support would be mandatory for all games submitted to Sony for certification from the beginning of January 2009.

Yup, I'm an example of a trophy freak. Oh well, it's my addiction.

I should probably tell you about what's been happening in my life. Ever since last April and up till now, I've been hanging with one of my best friends. She's been through a hard time. She just broke up with her boyfriend and ever since I've been cheering her up. I had a talk with him and explained alot of things with him. The hard part is that, her boyfriend, is one of my best friends. By spending time with her, he's saying that I'm being a good friend. Now, after a few days, most of my friends are currently spreading rumous that I'm dating her. Which is pretty messed up because all I have to do is swear like crazy at them. Me & her always talk to each other everyday on Facebook which interests me. Pinoy-Mofo is always trying to sneak up on me and see my messages that I'm sending to her which always makes me laugh. I only have May and a few weeks of June to spend time with her before we go our seperate ways and never see each other again. Time's running out.. so I better do things she'll never forget.

I've been watching some movies and I must say that I've enjoyed them. Here are my favourites that I've seen recentley.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I have to say that I have enjoyed this movie ALOT. It's all about how Wolverine got to be the person who does the best at what he does but what he does isn't very nice. Origins got mix reviews. Many complaning the action scenes were meh, alot of posing, acting very poor and those that say it was all about Wolverine not anyone else. That's because there were alot of Marvel characters like Deadpool and Gambit. Meaning they only wanted Wolverine to be in the spotlight. I loved the film. I would rate it a solid 4/5. Hugh Jackson just made me fall in love with comic books again. A sequel was announced meaning it would be about what happened to him in Japan. There's also alot of Marvel movies coming up. Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 2 and even Deadpool. I can't wait!

Star Trek (2009)

A prequel on the famous series. This movie was impressive. I loved it through the whole 2 hours and 6 minutes. The story was layed out perfectly, the movie was fast-paced, and the movie had lots of humour. The characters of the film were awesome. I bascially had attention over two characters. We have Chris Pine as James T. Kirk who made me laughed through the whole film and Zachary Quinto (known as Sylar in 'Heroes') as Spock. He had the best acting in my opinion. I recommend this film for ANYONE. Who cares if you aren't a big fan of the series or a fan of science fiction films. It's a reboot. Enjoy it!

Well, that's all. For my first blog, it's pretty impressive. I hope to continue blogging because this is just wicked. Ta-ta for now, Rogue X signing off.

P.S. A shoutout for my ladyfriend. Sorry brother, I stole the nickname for your girl but oh well, we gotta do what we gotta do. Hey ladyfriend, I really mean those things. I'll miss you. Hope you enjoy the blog. Love you :)
